Important Notice for MBBS / BDS Candidates of DUHS

ALLOCATION of MBBS / BDS SEATS on “MERIT CUM CHOICE BASIS” on the basis of UPDATED INITIAL MERIT LIST of 25th September 2007

1)- MERIT LIST FROM NO: 1 - 213

We are pleased to inform you that as per above mentioned merit list your merit is falling in the category of OPEN MERIT at Dow Medical College (DMC), Karachi, but it will only be confirmed on 30^th Sept. 2007, after Verification of All Original Documents (Photocopies of which have been submitted) and Submission of Pay Order of Rs. 24,150/- in favour of Dow University of Health Sciences.

Since on merit you also have an option for BDS program of Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences (DIIOHS). If you desire for BDS seat, Pay Order of Rs. 60,000 Open merit / Rs. 3 Lacs (UEDP-Local) in favour of Dow University of Health Sciences will be needed according to the available category of BDS.

Therefore, kindly come to Dow Medical College, Karachi on Sunday 30^th Sept. 2007, 8:30 am along with original documents and required Pay Order at Dow Medical College, Karachi.

2)- MERIT LIST FROM NO: 214 - 42

We are pleased to inform you that as per above mentioned merit list your merit is falling in the category of OPEN MERIT at Sindh Medical College (SMC), Karachi, but it will only be confirmed on 30^th Sept. 2007, after Verification of All Original Documents (Photocopies of which have been submitted) and Submission of Pay Order of Rs. 24,150/- in favour of Dow University of Health Sciences.

In addition you also have an option for UEDP – Local at DMC. In case you decide for that, then submission of Pay Order of Rs. 250,000/- will be needed in favour of Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi.

Therefore, kindly come to Dow Medical College, Karachi on Sunday 30^th Sept. 2007, 8:30 am along with original documents and required Pay Order at Dow Medical College, Karachi.

3)- MERIT LIST FROM NO: 427 - 545

We would like to inform you that according to your merit you have options for Reciprocal at LUMHS or UEDP Local at DMC or SMC and BDS open merit or UEDP Local. Allocation of seat in your required category will depend upon availability of that seat.

The required pay orders of each category is mentioned below:

Reciprocal cum merit LUMHS ---- Rs. 23,700/- (in favour of Liaquat University of Medical Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro)

b) Open merit BDS ---------------------------Rs. 60,000/-

c) UEDP – Local (DMC or SMC)----------Rs. 250,000/-

d) UEDP – Local BDS ----------------------- Rs. 300,000/-

According to the available category and your merit cum choice, the seat will be allocated after submission of the required Pay Order mentioned above.

Therefore, please decide about the category of seat and come with your original documents (Photocopies of which have been submitted) and the required Pay Order according to the category mentioned above, on Sunday 30^th Sept. 2007, 12:30 pm at Dow Medical College Karachi.
