NOTE: There was ambiguity in the key of Three Questions in the Entrance Test. This issue was tackled by a committee of three Distinguished Professors who recommended deletion of three questions and after deletion of awards of these three questions and addition of 15 Marks across the board to all the candidates these revised marks are being issued.

Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 40% marks in Entrance Test.

The Merit List is Provisional because:

1. *R.L - Some students have not filled the MCQ Paper ID and Roll Number correctly in the Response Forms, therefore, in the interest of these students, their results are being withheld at this point to further scrutinize their Response Forms so that the students do not have to suffer for this mistake. These are shown as R.L.

2.    F.Sc. results are being continuously revised after process of rechecking by various Boards.

3.    Hafiz-e-Quran students get 20 marks extra and these marks have not been added in this list as they have to be verified by special Board of Hufaz-e-Quran.

4.    Any complaint against the result of Entrance Test could be lodged within 15 days of the declaration of Result. No complaint will be entertained thereafter.

The Merit List was declared provisionally on September 16th 2008 because:

The Chief Minister of Punjab has waived off the Entry Test Fee (i.e. Rs.700/-).

The Chief Minister of Punjab has announced two New Centres for Entry Test.

Soutern Punjab (4 centres)

Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan,
Dera Ghazi Khan

Central Punjab (6 centres)

Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Sargodha, Gujranwala

Northern Punjab (2 centres)

Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt.


Entry Test 2008-09 for Admission to First Year MBBS / BDS Class

In Government Medical & Dental Colleges of the Punjab & KEMU (King Edward Medical University Lahore)

Session 2008-09 on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 09:00 A.M.

Conducted by University of Health Sciences Lahore

 

Candidates of Punjab, Federal Capital Area (Islamabad), AJ&K and Northern Areas, desirous of admission to MBBS & BDS against open merit, reserved seats, except those nominated by the Economic Affairs Division & Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, are required to pass the Entry Test of the University of Health Sciences Lahore. Admission will be made strictly according to the rules and regulations contained in the prospectus for the session 2008-09.

Eligibility

  • Age: under 25 years on the last date of the submission of application.

  • Qualification: F.Sc. (Premedical/Equivalent examination) with a minimum score of 715/1100 unadjusted marks (excluding marks for Hafiz-e-Quran).

  • Domicile certificate of the candidates (No other certificate will be acceptable)

Details

Entry Test will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. simultaneously in following cities.

  1. Southern Punjab: Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan

  2. Central Punjab: Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat and Sargodha, Gujranwala

  3. Northern Punjab: Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt.

  • Admission Kit which contains Prospectus, Model Question Papers, Instructions to the candidates, two blank Admit Cards and two blank Personal Data Sheets, will be available from all Government Medical & Dental Colleges of Punjab for Rs.300/- from August 27, 2008 from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

  • Candidates applying for Entry Test will submit their Admit Cards (both), Personal Data Sheets (both) duly filled along with attested copies of Matric, F.Sc/Equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), domicile certificate and Rs.700/- in cash as Entry Test fee from August 27, 2008 to September 04, 2008 from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. during working days at any of the following places by hand (application received by post will not be entertained):

    1. University of Health Sciences Lahore

    2. Regional Centre UHS, Rawalpindi Medical College Rawalpindi

    3. Regional Centre UHS, Nishtar Medical College Multan

    4. Regional Centre UHS, Punjab Medical College Faisalabad

    5. Regional Centre UHS, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur

    6. Regional Centre UHS, Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar Khan

  • Candidates must mention on their Admit Cards the Centre where they wish to appear.

  • Candidates are required to pass the Entry Test with a minimum of 40% marks.

  • Top 2700 candidates as per merit list will be eligible to submit their applications for admission to First Year MBBS at University of Health Sciences Lahore on the prescribed forms from September 23, 2008 to October 10, 2008 from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. during working days.

  • First consolidated list of selected candidates in MBBS & BDS will be displayed at all Medical & Dental Colleges on October 25, 2008.

  • Second selection list will be displayed on November 15, 2008.

  • Third and final selection list will be displayed on November 30, 2008.

  • Admission letters will be issued to the candidates by the respective Colleges and KEMU.

  • Any complaint against the result of Entry Test could be lodged within 15 days of the declaration of result. No complaint will be entertained thereafter.

  • CLASSES WILL START ON 1ST DECEMBER, 2008

IMPORTANT

  1. No Admission Kit will be issued after 5:00 P.M. on September 04, 2008.

  2. No Entry Test Form will be accepted after 5:00 P.M. on September 04, 2008.

  3. No Admission Application will be accepted after 5:00 P.M. on October 10, 2008.
