The Department of Anatomy at Foundation University Medical College is actively invloved in teaching and training programs of undergraduate students of MBBS. The department is equipped with state of the art Dissection Hall, Museum and Histology Laboratory. The department has a mortuary in which the dead bodies are kept for use by the students during dissection hours.

The faculty of the department is higly qualified, methodological, interactive and student friendly. The teaching is clinically oriented with major stress on applied Anatomy. The teaching methods involve the use of modern teaching tools which include Multimedia, Close Circuit TV Camera for Projection of Histology Slides on the Monitor, state of the art models in the Museum. Each student is given proper attention on individual basis. Special counseling is carried out for those students who feel difficulty in any area of any subject of Basic Medical Sciences.

In near future, the faculty is likely to involve in research activities when post graduate teaching programme is undertaken.
