Impotence Quotient Test This quiz will help you determine your Impotence Quotient - or the degree of risk you have of developing erectile dysfunction.
If you already suffer from erectile dysfunction the test will help you discover how serious your problem is.
This test was developed by six erectile dysfunction experts and is called the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). One of the medical specialists who developed the test, Dr Raymond Rosen, says: "The beauty of the IIEF is that it is specifically designed to assess a man's current level of erectile dysfunction. It precisely gets answers in five key domains: erectile function, sexual desire, orgasmic function, intercourse satisfaction, and overall gratification." The following definitions should be applied as you answer each question:
"Sexual activity" includes caressing, foreplay, masturbation and intercourse.
"Sexual intercourse" is defined as penetration of your partner.
"Sexual stimulation" includes foreplay, watching erotic movies or reading erotic literature.
"Ejaculate" is the ejection of semen from the penis or the feeling that it's taking place. The International Index of Erectile Function QuestionnairePakRepordMed ® 15
The first five questions refer to erectile function
Q2. Over the last month, when you had erections with sexual stimulation, how often were your erections hard enough for penetration?
The next two questions ask about sexual desire. In this context, sexual desire is defined as a feeling that may include wanting to have a sexual experience (for example masturbation or sexual intercourse), thinking about having sex, or feeling frustrated due to lack of sex.
The next two questions refer to overall sexual satisfaction.
What the Scores Mean
All the questions break down into five specific areas, as follows. Add your scores to the appropriate column.
Erectile FunctionIn most cases, erectile dysfunction is a steadily worsening condition that can be slowed and in some cases reversed through the use of oral impotence medication. If your total score adds up to less than 24, then impotence drug intervention may be a viable solution for you. If your responses fall into this range, we suggest you make an appointment to see your medical specialist, take the questionnaire with you, and discuss the possibility of commencing a course of oral impotence medication.
Orgasmic FunctionEjaculation with a semi-erect or soft penis is a strong indicator that you have a penile problem that is physical. If you scored between 0 and 8 in this area, oral impotence medication may be necessary. Consult your medical specialist for more information about erectile dysfunction treatment options.
Sexual Desire
Sexual desire or lack of it can result from any number of physical or psychological problems. Testosterone deficiency, certain medications, fatigue, stress, or high blood pressure and heart conditions can all lead to lack of desire for sex. A visit to your doctor would help determine if there is an underlying medical cause and if impotence treatment or a good vacation is necessary.
Intercourse SatisfactionThis area helps determine whether your erection is firm enough to satisfactorily penetrate your partner. A low score tends to indicate a higher degree of erectile difficulty. If your score is less than 12, treatment for erectile dysfunction may be necessary.
Overall SatisfactionHow a man adjusts psychologically to a decrease or loss of sexual function is often a reflection of the level of support and intimacy he shares with his partner.
The Next StepCongratulations on taking the Impotence Quotient test!
Understanding the extent of your erectile dysfunction is the first step in taking affirmative action to help overcome the problem. But please remember, this test is not a diagnosis of erectile dysfunction, it's simply a guide to help you determine if you have a problem, and if so, the extent of the problem.
The next step is to make an appointment to see your doctor. Take your questionnaire results with you so the doctor can see at a glance where the problems exist. It will make the treatment process a whole lot easier.
